It's officially Winter Break! We hope everyone is able to relax, enjoy time with family and friends, and get ready to head into the new year. We'll see you January 7th, 2026!

There’s a whole lot of holiday cheer over at Chillicothe Primary School!! ❄️✨
Our students each got a unique gift, thanks to the generosity of Worthington Schools! We are so grateful to their district and the Thomas Worthington Outreach Group for making sure each of our students gets to open their very own present each year. 💝

🧑🏽🍳👩🏻🍳These lil chefs explored how to use AI to be healthier. Using a limited budget (figured w/ United for ALICE guidelines), students prompted AI to help design a recipe including ingredients chosen using “eating the rainbow” criteria🌈 & a taste test session, of course.👩🏽🍳🧑🏼🍳

Two of our incredible staff members, both Ohio University alumni, Chelsea Herbert and Lindsay Burns, were featured in a great article by Ohio University, commending their work here, at CCSD!
"Gifted Intervention Specialists Chelsea Herbert and Lindsay Burns, both OHIO alumni, lead the Excite Lab, short for Exceptional Creativity and Individual Talent Enrichment, located at Chillicothe Intermediate School. The lab serves more than 300 gifted students across the district, offering experiences that go beyond traditional classroom instruction.
Both educators find the greatest reward in building long-term relationships with the students they teach."

Our elves at Chillicothe STEM Preschool, Chilly and Frosty, have been out and about this week! They seem ready for warmer weather today, hanging out in the pool with their floaties! 🙂🎄🙂

🎄✨ Over the past few weeks, the Keys to Success Ambassadors have been busy spreading holiday cheer by helping Fill A Cruise collect toy donations for children in Ross County. Their hearts for service truly shine this season! 🤍
A huge thank you to Rural King and Dollar General for allowing us to collect donations at your stores—your support made this possible!
Today was especially magical as Santa himself stopped by Chillicothe STEM Preschool alongside Keys to Success Ambassadors from Chillicothe High School. 🎅❤️ They visited each classroom, passed out the donated toys, helped with crafts, and filled the school with smiles, laughter, and holiday cheer. 🎨🎁
A special thank you to Santa Nick and our amazing K2S Ambassadors for making today extra special for our littlest Cavs. We are so proud of our Ambassadors for giving back and making a difference in our community! 💙🎄

This weekend, the Keys 2 Success Ambassadors attended a 3-day Leadership Conference at Kalahari Resort, where they put in an incredible amount of work as they developed a project they hoped to bring to their peers. Throughout the conference, they moved through workshops that challenged them to think in new ways, learned about the PRIME model, explored data points that guide real decision-making, gained leadership skills, and practiced creating meaningful content to support them as they prepared to write a grant to bring their idea to life.
It was inspiring to watch these students push themselves. They stepped out of their comfort zones, asked questions, shared ideas, and leaned on one another throughout the process. They also built new friendships, strengthened existing ones, and encouraged each other with kindness and maturity. Seeing their excitement grow as they realized what they were capable of was the highlight of the weekend. We are so proud of this group—their hard work, their heart, and the leadership they've brought back to our school. 💛✨
