March CAVS Have Award Winners

Today is Paraprofessional Appreciation Day! Our paraprofessionals do so much for our staff and students, so be sure to thank them!

We are hosting another Cavalier Coffee Hour this month! Please join us in Annex Room D at Chillicothe Main Public Library on April 15th, 2025, at 9:30AM. We will be providing coffee and pastries. This Coffee Hour is a great opportunity for parents/guardians who may be considering a change for their student of any age, and are interested in what Chillicothe City School District has to offer. You'll get to sit down with our superintendent and curriculum director to ask any questions you've had about our district. If you have friends who are not yet Cavaliers, be sure to share this with them.

We had a wonderful board meeting yesterday at Chillicothe Intermediate School! We honored our Spelling Bee Winners, our exemplary Science Fair projects, and our three Battelle Showcase teams!
These students never cease to amaze us!
We also got a building update from Chillicothe Intermediate School principals Kendra Landrum and Jessica Orr.

We have some important dates coming up!

We are super excited to host Dudes and Donuts on Monday. With the number of people attending we wanted to make you aware that there is extra parking available at the Cavalier Football stadium which is one block away on Arch St.
Due to limited handicap spots in the parking lot we will have an extra area on the back side of the building off of Mill St. marked off with cones for handicap parking.
Wow! We are loving the excitement for Kindergarten Registration!
Our second event, scheduled for April 8th, has been completely booked up. Thank you to everyone who is getting their child's educational journey started at CCSD!
Even if you were unable to make it for the March 3rd or April 8th dates, don't fret! You can still register your student for the 2025/2026 school year through our registration office.

We are so happy to be able to provide our students with unique and enriching educational opportunities. We are so thankful for our teachers and staff, who make all of the great things we do possible! Being able to provide a great education to the youth in our community is so important to us.
We will continue to foster a positive and engaging learning environment. Thank you for entrusting your students to us!

The registration office is now located between the middle school and high school main offices.

We had a very nice board meeting at Chillicothe Primary School last night! CPS students led us in the Pledge of Allegiance, and shared thank you cards with our board of education.
We thanked our Board of Education for all of their hard work, and unwavering dedication to the district.
Our master teachers were also honored! We were excited to recognize Rebecca Seidel, Chelsea Herbert, Lindsay Burns, and Inna Ogle.

Today our local Head Start and future Cavalier's stopped in for a school tour. It was a pleasure to have a opportunity to meet and work with these students today.
