Two professors from the OSU Biology department -- Alissa Geisse and Kyle Sozanski -- visited Mrs. Stepp's 8th grade science class this week to teach them about invasive species and natural selection. They brought in poison dart frogs and ant colonies for our students to observe! How cool is that? Huge thank you to OSU's Biology Department!
After a year of hard work designing, building, and coding their own robots, CMS students competed in the Ohio Code Scholar Robotics competition. Out of 760 participants, TWO of our amazing students were honored! 🏆 Lexis Thomas took 3rd place for Best Overall Presentation, and Jonah Burns earned 3rd place Best in Show! 🚀🤖👏
We'd like to give a special shoutout to all of the teachers in our district during this Teacher Appreciation Week! We are so lucky to have a teaching staff so dedicated to their students, always going above and beyond to give our kids the best learning opportunities! Hi, I’m Adaline Mendel. I was honored to represent the Class of 2025 as a Senior Class Representative, a member of the National Honor Society, Captain of the Varsity Soccer Team and Varsity Track and Field Team, and a recipient of the 12-Season Athlete Award.
I will be attending Ohio State University, majoring in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting. At Ohio State, I will be a part of the Mount Leadership Scholars Program. I’m looking forward to making new friends, getting involved on campus, and cheering on the Bucks!
Lastly, I want to thank the CHS teachers and staff for encouraging me to reach my highest potential and preparing me for the future. Thank you to my parents for supporting me at every sporting event and awards ceremony, and for giving me the guidance to be successful in life. Also, thank you to both of my sisters for being the best role models and always being there for me. Love you all so much.
