Chillicothe City School District is proud to congratulate CHS alumnus Benjamin Yandila for successfully completing the Leadership Launchpad Program through the OHIO Robert D. Walter Center for Strategic Leadership at Ohio University!
Benjamin has shown outstanding commitment, reflection, and growth throughout this multi-workshop leadership journey—culminating in earning his Leadership Challenge Coin, a symbol of integrity, teamwork, and purpose-driven leadership.
The Leadership Launchpad helps Ohio University students explore who they are as leaders, understand how they influence others, and build the foundational skills needed to lead with purpose—on campus, in their careers, and beyond.

Hello, this is Principal Matthew Ballentine calling from Chillicothe High School with a friendly reminder about tonight's Homecoming Dance.
The dance begins promptly at 8:00 PM and runs until 11:00 PM.
For all students attending, you will need to enter through the Cox Gym doors located in the north parking lot. This is where our staff will be set up for check-in.
Please note that you must be inside and checked in by 9:00 PM. For the safety and security of all our students, we will not be able to admit anyone after the 9:00 PM cut-off, so please plan to arrive early! Also, please know that when you leave the building, there will be no reentry.
We ask that every student attending bring some form of photo identification to enter the dance. Please be sure to have this ready for check-in.
We are excited for a great evening! Please remember to enjoy your time, look out for one another, and make safe, responsible choices.
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing everyone tonight for a fun and memorable Homecoming!

Leading into reading Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible”, students in Mrs. Schobelock’s English Language Arts class have been exploring the historical context and background of the Salem Witch Trials, the Red Scare, and Puritanism. “The Crucible” is based on and inspired by the Salem Witch Trials, but serves as an allegory for the Red Scare which lasted from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. We love seeing our students’ creativity and artwork as they prepare to read such a prominent piece of American Literature!
