Shannon McMannis has worked with The Counseling Source, where she partners with school districts to serve students, for over three years. She previously worked as a child therapist at Union-Scioto Local School District while counseling developmentally disabled individuals in Ross County. We are happy to have McMannis now serving as a social worker within the Chillicothe City School District alongside Leslie Hamman.  

In her new role, McMannis looks forward to getting to know the students, families and staff members that make up CCSD. So far, she has enjoyed providing information, resources and group sessions to students and parents while addressing relevant issues within the school district. She is excited to work with students with both personal and psychological needs to ensure they get the correct support.  

As a Cavalier alumni, McMannis is excited to give back to the district to ensure resources and opportunities are provided to students in need. “I want to be able to give all children the opportunity and resources to help them succeed academically and socially in a safe and healthy school environment,” she said.  

Outside of work, McMannis enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including going to her son’s sporting events. She loves cooking, listening to podcasts and trying out new projects on her Cricut. We’re so excited to welcome her to our support staff!
