Meet Leslie Hamman, CCSD’s New Social Worker

Leslie Hamman recently joined the district as a social worker, providing extra support for our students. Before coming to CCSD, she worked in a private practice counseling families and adolescents, so working with students has been a smooth transition. Mrs. Hamman also has experience with the district – aside from being a Cavalier graduate herself, her husband works in the district and their three kids currently attend schools in CCSD.

In her new role, Mrs. Hamman is looking forward to working with our staff, students and families to provide support and resources to help everyone feel empowered to be their best self at school and at home. Mental health is a huge focus for her, both for families and staff. One of her main goals is to provide support by facilitating small groups for families, students and staff.

“It's a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together, and I feel that I have that,” said Mrs. Hamman. “I love working with others, giving them support, resources, coping skills or whatever they need to feel better and make changes for long term success.”

Outside of work, Mrs. Hamman coaches Chillicothe Middle School volleyball and values physical activity in her life. She loves practicing yoga and running, and she plans to complete the Nationwide Children’s Half-Marathon in the future. She loves watching her children play sports and spending time with her family.
