Before Elizabeth Gumm joined Chillicothe Primary School as the behavioral health specialist, she worked with many CCSD district students and families through a local community behavioral health agency. Her former position allowed her to provide community resources, referrals and support for clients and their families. Now working within the district, she is excited to transition into a role where she will be focusing primarily on students’ behaviors and how it impacts their ability to learn.
“I am absolutely honored to collaborate and work alongside our great team of educators and devoted staff members to support our students in their education,” said Gumm.
Gumm’s biggest goal in her new role is to bring a positive outlook, attitude and perspective every day – one that has intent to both serve and support, but ultimately strives to make a positive difference through collaboration and dedicated teamwork.
“Serving and supporting is what it is all about, and that is what I truly hope to accomplish,” said Gumm. “My goal is to serve so that our teachers, students and families are thriving and feel successful. Providing support to our staff is essential, as well as lifting and building each student up mentally, spiritually and emotionally. By providing small social-emotional groups to our young learners, I am confident that we will meet and exceed our goals together!”
Outside of the classroom, Gumm prioritizes her family as a wife, mother of six kids and nana of two grandchildren. She is extremely proud of her family and loves spending time with them, in addition to running and weightlifting.
