Our kindergarten classes are all day, Monday – Friday. Children must be 5 years of age on or before August 1st to enter the program, unless they qualify under the Underage Early Entrance policy for the Chillicothe City Schools Board of Education.
Registration for Kindergarten programs require:
- 5 years of age on or before August 1st
- Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
- Up-to-date Immunization Record which must include 5 DPT (if 4th was given before 4th birthday), 4 Polio (if 3rd was given before 4th birthday), 3 Hepatitis B, 2 MMR, given after 1st birthday, & Varicella (chicken pox)
- 2 Proofs of Residency
- Divorce/Custody documents(if applicable)
- Photo ID for Parent / Legal-guardian
- Kindergarten Screening:
Screening takes place in the spring prior to entrance into kindergarten. Screening assists staff in determining any areas of potential barriers to learning that may occur for your child. Students are screened in the areas of Speech, Hearing, Vision, Gross Motor Skills, Fine Motor Skills, and the Alphabet. Reading knowledge is screened in the fall of the kindergarten year. You must have an appointment for your child to be registered &/or screened.
