Chillicothe High School Celebrates Top 10 Graduates

As the school year comes to an end, we are so proud of our seniors, especially in a year like this one. Our top 10 students for the year exemplify our school’s dedication to academics and extracurricular involvement. Congratulations to these students on their hard work and many achievements throughout their educational career. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.

Abigail

Valedictorian: Abigail Fisk

Abigail earned a 4.69 GPA while taking eight honors, 11 AP and nine CCP classes during her time at CHS. She earned a 36 composite score on the ACT and has been named a National Merit Finalist and Scholarship recipient. In addition, she participated in National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Student Council, Keys 2 Success, symphonic choir, AIM and varsity swim. Following graduation, Abigail plans to major in biochemistry and pursue a career as a doctor.

Abigail

Salutatorian: Abigail Pendell

Abigail earned a 4.67 GPA while taking 10 honors, one AP, and 16 CCP courses during her time at CHS.  In addition, she participated in National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Beta Club, Tri-M Music Honor society, Science Bowl, Quiz Bowl, Interact Club, symphonic choir and CHS Theater. Abigail will attend Liberty University to major in biology with minors in Spanish and biblical studies. She plans to attend medical school and pursue a career in osteopathic medicine. 

Elsa

#3: Elsa Mendel

Elsa earned a 4.626 GPA while taking nine honors, four AP, and nine CCP courses during her time at CHS. In addition to her studies, she participated in National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Keys 2 Success, Beta Club, Key Club, HOBY Leadership Seminar, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Interact Club, varsity cheerleading, varsity track, symphony orchestra, OSU’s Plan to be Healthy Program and OHSAA’s Leadership Conference as a Cheerleader Representative. After graduation, Elsa plans to attend The Ohio State University and major in pre-pharmacy before earning her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and working as a retail or clinical pharmacist.

Stephanie

#4: Stephanie Hirsch

Stephanie earned a 4.583 GPA while taking four honors, three AP, and nine CCP courses during her time at CHS. She was also a member of Keys 2 Success and Youth in Government and participated in track, varsity volleyball, cross country and 4-H. After graduation, Stephanie plans to attend The Ohio State University to major in chemistry and pursue a career in the medical field.

Corrine

#5: Corrine Woods

Corrine earned a 4.546 GPA while taking seven honors, four AP, and six CCP courses during her time at CHS. While juggling her academic commitments, she participated in Lucky Lopers 4-H as the secretary, American Legion, Teen Institute, Keys 2 Success, Interact Club as the treasurer and vice president, varsity swim, varsity boys tennis, volleyball, varsity cross country, Little Blessings as the founder and director, Student Council as the vice president and executive president, Columbus Zoo & Aquarium’s ZooAide Volunteering Program, National Honor Society, AIM, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Chinese Club, Young Life and Beta Club. Corrine plans to attend Shawnee State University and major in biology on a pre-med track.

Sydney

#6: Sydney Wissler          

Sydney earned a 4.531 GPA while taking four honors, six AP, and 12 CCP courses during her time at CHS. She also participated in National Honor Society, Beta Club, Interact Club, Teen Institute, Keys 2 Success, Student Council, varsity swim, tennis and 4-H. Sydney plans to major in pharmacy at the University of Findlay with a future goal of obtaining her MBA, becoming a pharmacist and owning her own pharmacy.

Zachary

#7: Zachary Evans

Zachary earned a 4.517 GPA while taking seven honors, eight AP, and one CCP courses during his time at CHS. In addition, he participated in National Honor Society, Beta Club, Spanish Club, Spanish Honor Society and soccer. After graduation, Zachary plans to attend college to major in computer engineering.

Kaden

#8: William (Kaden) Riffe

Kaden earned a 4.515 GPA while taking seven honors, five AP, and four CCP courses during his four years at CHS. He also participated in National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Keys 2 Success, AIM, Beta Club, Interact Club, varsity cross country and varsity baseball. Kaden will attend The Ohio State University in the fall and major in biology. He ultimately wants to become a sports medicine physician.

Christopher

#9: Christopher Henson

Christopher earned a 4.509 GPA while taking six honors, six AP, and one CCP course throughout his academic career. At the same time, he participated in National Honor Society, Science Bowl, Quiz Bowl, Beta Club, CAVS Media Crew, cross country, track, bowling and football. Christopher plans to major in chemical engineering.

Emma

#10: Emma Lambert

Emma earned a 4.465 GPA while taking eight honors, nine AP and two CCP courses during her time at CHS. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Keys 2 Success, Spanish Club, Beta Club, Interact Club, Key Club, Class Council and Young Life and participated in volleyball and swim. In the fall, Emma plans to attend The Ohio State University and major in pharmaceutical sciences. She eventually wants to earn her doctor of pharmacy degree to become a pharmacist.
