COVID-19: With the extension of the mandated school closure, please see our COVID-19 Update Page for family resources and information from the district.
Hello and welcome to Chillicothe Intermediate School! My name is Joshua Tripp and I’m very excited to be joining the Cavalier team this year. I have admired CCSD for years and am very excited to be a part of a district that offers such a high quality of instruction and opportunities for its students. CIS is a brand new, state of the art building that offers an environment to support 21st Century learners in grades 3-6 with an enrollment of approximately 800 students.
As a resident of Chillicothe, I take great pride in our school and community. I started my career in education as an aide at the Pioneer Center/Ross County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Since then, I have served as an Educational Interpreter, Special Education Teacher, Special Education Supervisor, and High School Principal. I’m thrilled to be leading the staff and students at CIS!
I believe that education does not just happen within the walls of a school, but at all times of the day and across all environments. Because of this, there must be a positive relationship between the staff and families. Please be sure to reach out to your child’s teacher or myself at any time. I look forward to establishing my relationship with students, staff, and families.
Please feel free to call or email me anytime with questions, concerns, or suggestions to make CIS an even better school.
